FindNextWatch ("the App") is a movie and TV show discovery app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only using Hive (an on-device database):
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the AI recommendation feature (see below).
The App offers optional sign-in via Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. If you sign in, Firebase receives your Google account email and display name to manage your session. You may also use the App as a guest without any sign-in — no account is required.
When you explicitly tap "What should I watch next?" or "Find similar with AI," the App sends a taste profile to Google's Gemini API. This profile includes:
This data is sent only when you initiate an AI recommendation request. It is not sent automatically or in the background.
The App uses the following third-party services for title data (no personal information is sent to these services):
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Subscriptions are managed entirely by the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We do not store payment information. You can cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings.
All user data (history, watchlist, favorites, preferences) is stored locally on your device and mirrored to Google Cloud Firestore under your user ID. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. If you signed in with Google, you can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.
You can delete your account and all associated data by signing out in the app (Profile → Sign Out). To request full deletion, email findnextwatch@technicalpartners.co.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date.
